7 habits for keeping your crypto and card secure

Security isn't just about technology — it's about habits. These seven simple practices go a long way towards protecting your account, your card and your crypto.

1. Use two-factor authentication

Turn on two-factor authentication (2FA) for your KrypKard account. An authenticator app is generally more secure than SMS codes, which can be intercepted through SIM-swap attacks.

2. Use a unique, strong password

Never reuse a password from another site. A password manager makes it easy to create and store long, unique passwords.

3. Learn to spot phishing

Be wary of emails, texts or DMs asking you to log in, “verify” your account or share codes. Go to the app directly instead of tapping links. KrypKard will never ask for your password, full card details or 2FA codes.

4. Turn on transaction alerts

Instant notifications mean you see every payment as it happens — and can act fast if something looks wrong.

5. Freeze first, ask questions later

Misplaced your card? Freeze it in the app immediately. If it turns up, you can unfreeze it just as quickly.

6. Keep your devices up to date

Install operating system and app updates promptly, use a screen lock, and avoid installing apps from unofficial sources.

7. Be careful on public Wi-Fi

Avoid logging in to financial accounts on public networks. If you have to, use your mobile data or a trusted VPN.

Security is a team effort

KrypKard works hard to protect your account behind the scenes. Pair that with good habits on your side, and your crypto stays yours — wherever you spend it.
